“Light and Truth. C. Wherrett Photo Artist Melbourne Portrait Rooms Elizabeth Street Hobart Town Copies Can Be Had at Any Time”
This carte dates from approximately quite soon after the death of Charles Wherrett senior, whose studio began operations in 1872. His sons inherited the business, and his eldest – Charles B. Wherrett maintained it through to the 1900s, sometimes in partnership with R. McGuffie.
Charles Wherret senior opened a studio in Hobart in 1872.
His son Charles B. Wherrett continued the business well into the 1900s trading as Messrs Wherrett & Co.
